Patricia Hoefler
I am an online humanities instructor with a background in theater, and an MFA in Performance and Society. Prior to my current full time position (in which I teach general studies and critical thinking to non-traditional learners), I was working in instructional technology, helping college faculty master various learning management systems.
I am creative and open to new ways of thinking, which I like to incorporate in my teaching. In the past few years, I have presented on various topics, such as using technology for final projects, digital storytelling (which I learned about at my last THATCamp!), and using the "Yes, And" improvisational approach to open the way to greater classroom communication.
When I am not teaching or creating, I am being taken for a walk/sprint by my rescue Jack Russell Terrier mix.
